The purpose of the Level 2 Understanding the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care Certificate is to develop your knowledge and understanding of how to administer, store, dispose of and process medicines safely, and provides learners with an understanding of medication and prescriptions. This qualification is intended to prepare learners’ skills in this subject area and to prepare them for further learning or training.
This course is only suitable for those already working within a Health and Social Care environment or similar setting as you will need to draw on workplace experiences. This qualification can be used to update and continue your professional development, (CPD), and to develop knowledge/skills relevant to the occupational specialisation.
You will have 1-1 support from an assessor within the health and social care department. Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.
