Course Summary

The Level 2 Understanding Cancer Support Certificate qualification is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of supporting adults living with cancer. It could be used as a continuous professional development (CPD) qualification for learners already working within the health care and social care sectors or for individuals providing informal care.

You will have 1-1 support from an assessor within the health and social care department. Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.

What else do I need to know?

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in understanding cancer support, learners are required to successfully complete mandatory units:

Unit 1 Cancer awareness Unit 2 - Introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer Unit 3 - Introduction to cancer care and support Unit 4 - Introduction to end of life and bereavement care
There are no formal entry qualifications for the Level 2 Understanding Cancer Support Certificate.
This course will take you five months to complete.

If you do not qualify for funding this course will cost you £462.

This course is assessor led. You will be assessed by a qualified assessor on a monthly basis throughout the duration of the course
Completion of this qualification could lead onto the Level 2 Care Diploma.
