Course Summary

The Principles of End of Life Care Certificate Level 2 is aimed at anyone who currently works in or is intending on working in any health and social care setting. The course will increase your awareness and understanding of end of life care.

What else do I need to know?

This qualification consists of 6 mandatory units:

  • Unit 1: Understand How to Work in End of Life Care
  • Unit 2: Care Planning in End of Life Care
  • Unit 3: Understand How to Provide Support to Manage Pain and Discomfort
  • Unit 4: End of Life Care and Dementia
  • Unit 5: Understanding the Role of the Care Worker in Time of Death
  • Unit 6: Understand Loss and Grief in End of Life Care

There are no entry qualifications for this course.

This course will take up to 7 months to complete.

Fees may vary depending on personal circumstances, please enquire for further information.

If you do not qualify for funding this course will cost you £650.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

You will be assessed through 1-1 support from an assessor within the health and social care department. Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.

Successful completion of this qualification could lead onto the Care Diploma Level 2.
