If you are thinking about applying for a course at Boston College, or if you’ve already submitted an application and want to track its progress, this section has all the information you need. You’ll find guidance on the application process, key dates, what to expect at each stage, and how to check the status of your application.
How to Apply
Once you’ve explored all the course areas that interest you at Boston College and found the course that’s right for you, the next step is to apply! Applying for a place online couldn't be simpler - the steps below guide you through the entire process. If you need any further assistance, you can call the College’s Information Line on 01205 365701, where our friendly staff will be happy to help.
The first thing you need to do is find the right course for you! To do this visit our Find a Course page, which details all the courses available at Boston College.
Once you have found the course you would like to apply for, you can do so by clicking the 'Apply for this course' button on the individual course information page. You will then need to create an account (if you haven't already), as this will provide you with the ability to track your application throughout the admissions process.
Interested in more than one course?
If you’re interested in a few different courses, you can include up to three courses in a single application. All you have to do is select the 'heart' button on each individual course information page. These courses will then be added to your Shortlist - you can find your Shortlist by clicking the 'heart' icon at the top of the page.
If at a later date you wish to apply for an additional different course, you just have to follow the above steps, however, instead of creating an account you will just need to log in using your log in details.
Once your application has been received and processed, you will be invited to discuss the course in more detail and decide which level of study is right for you. The Application Review is held with a member of staff from your chosen course area and is a great opportunity to get to know the College, meet the team, and ask any questions you may have.
Following your review, you will be sent a letter stating one of the following:
- An unconditional offer – if you already have the entry qualifications and experience required
- A conditional offer – if you are awaiting the results of exams or completion of experience
- An offer of a guidance session - to look at alternative courses
Your Induction Day in June is the final stage of your application before Enrolment in August. It’s a great opportunity to meet your course tutor and other members of the Boston College Team, take part in hands-on activities, and familiarise yourself with the College campus. You’ll also get the chance to meet and get to know other students on your course, helping you feel confident and prepared as you begin your studies.
After accepting an offer at Boston College, you will receive a letter in August inviting you to enrol on a specified date and time. The enrolment letter will also include all the details you need to complete the enrolment process smoothly.
Enrolment usually takes place at the end of August, at both the Boston Campus (Rochford) and Spalding Campus. Your letter will state the location, with the overall process taking around two hours. Once you’ve completed enrolment and received your Boston College ID badge, you’re officially a Boston College student!
