With the launch of T Level placements, students now benefit from a wider range of experiences across The NHS. From Dietetics and X-Ray to Acute Inpatient Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and ward placements in areas such as Vascular and Respiratory, students gain invaluable insight into the many roles that contribute to patient care. The NHS has welcomed the enthusiasm and professionalism students bring, praising their adaptability and the meaningful impact of their contributions. The partnership continues to grow, providing students with real-world experience while helping The NHS connect with future talent and showcase the breadth of careers available within the sector.

Students take part in enrichment planning, public engagement, and daily animal welfare, including specialist work with the Park’s large range of parrots. The roles can be demanding, but students rise to the challenge. Many continue as volunteers, and one Wildlife Park staff member now teaches at The College, strengthening the link between education and industry. Joint media projects also showcase the value of employer-led learning.

Looking ahead, the Park will continue to offer placements and hopes to involve media students in content creation, expanding its digital outreach. Together, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park and The College provide practical, inclusive, and impactful opportunities, demonstrating how strong partnerships shape confident learners and future-ready professionals.

The collaboration has built a multi-generational workforce, blending fresh ideas with deep expertise. Many former students have advanced to university, senior practitioner roles, mentors, and room leaders, driving quality across Mon Ami’s three award-winning settings. Mon Ami was a proud recipient of Boston College’s Apprentice Employer of the Year Award, recognising the strength and impact of the partnership. Together, they have enhanced recruitment pipelines, supported Ofsted readiness, and created a culture of continuous learning, raising the bar for early years education across Lincolnshire.

LCVS supports students into meaningful roles, while Boston College provides space, expertise, and curriculum flexibility. The partnership spans administration apprenticeships (including an Apprentice of the Year), involvement in key College events such as Freshers Fairs and International Volunteer Day, curriculum feedback via the Industry Skills Board, and a jointly signed Memorandum of Understanding.

Rooted in shared values, the relationship is warm and responsive. Students gain confidence and real-world experience, while local charities benefit from new connections and visibility — together contributing to a stronger, more engaged community.

The collaboration has driven record enrolments and strong engagement across all campuses, with an average completion survey score of 9 out of 10. Tutors benefit from unlimited support, weekly analytics, and tailored resources. The teams work closely to address challenges — for example, college feedback led to targeted content on professional writing skills, helping students overcome common barriers.

A pilot digital marketing approach developed with Boston College proved so effective it is now used across Mindful Education’s wider partner network, demonstrating the value and impact of a collaborative approach.
