Overview

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

If English is not your first language, our ESOL courses can help you improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will learn practical English that makes everyday communication easier, from talking to friends and colleagues to filling in forms and attending appointments.

These courses also build your confidence for work, study, and life in the UK, helping you progress to further education, training, or employment. With supportive tutors and a friendly learning environment, you’ll be encouraged every step of the way.

Your Future in ESOL

Hear what our students think...

“I am hoping that by improving my language skills I can develop my career in Health and Social Care, which I left behind when I moved to England. I had no previous experience of speaking English when I moved here and feel my confidence has grown gradually with every lesson.

The teachers are very helpful and understanding; they have a lot of time to help us if we do not understand something and give a lot of extra support. The course is not only helping me to continue my career here in England but also it helps me in my everyday life when I am shopping, going to the bank or attending appointments.”

“The College has helped me to progress from an Entry Level ESOL course all the way up to studying a Level 3 Uniformed Public Services course. I have also had the opportunity to gain qualifications in English and Maths. The College has improved my confidence and I am now looking to progress onto University.”
