Course Summary

The Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma) is designed for those wishing to begin a career in social care and are progressing from Level 2 or GCSE level study.

You will cover essential topics such as safeguarding, person-centred care, communication, and supporting individuals with a range of needs, equipping you with the tools and skills required for a career in industry, or further, higher education study.

You can expect a comprehensive programme that will encompass both classroom learning and practical work placements, helping you to develop the skills required for employment or further study. You will cover a range of modules designed to support your progression.

Entry requirements for the Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma) is English and Maths GCSE's at grade 4 (old GCSE grade C or above.

The Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma) will take you 2 years to complete. You will attend college at our Rochford Campus in Boston.

The Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma) is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.

If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.

The course is assessed using a range of methods, which include written assignments, booklets, posters, presentations and practical tasks.

Successful completion of the Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma) can support progression onto higher level study such as a degree or apprenticeship. You may also progress onto employment within the care sector.

Additional costs may include a Health and Social Care tunic for College, which is similar to those which carers and nurses wear in their jobs. These are approximately £20 each. These can be ordered from the College at the beginning of the year.
