Eden, The Original Kitchen Grand Opening
Boston College’s onsite restaurant has revealed its brand-new name and branding – Eden, The Original Kitchen.
Eden celebrates the fantastic food that is produced in the local area, whilst providing excellent training opportunities for aspiring chefs and restaurants managers.
The Restaurant formally known as Lime, is a fine dining restaurant based in the College’s Rochford campus. It provides students on Catering and Hospitality courses a real-life working environment to train under the guidance of industry expert chefs and front of house staff, whilst offering members of the public an exceptional standard of food at great prices.
Due to the high standard of training at Boston College, the restaurant has gained a great reputation, with loyal customers returning time and time again, some who were in attendance at the Grand Opening.
Eden’s new logo and branding was designed by Jennifer Graves, a HE Graphic Design student at the College. As part of a real-life brief the HE Graphic Design students were tasked with designing concepts for the restaurant’s new branding, with only the new name, Eden, as inspiration. Jennifer’s concept was picked to be developed in to the final branding.
Speaking of the relaunch, Caroline Parker-Meadows, Curriculum Leader for Catering and Hospitality, said “We are delighted with the rebranding of the restaurant which gives a new edge to our offer along with the revamp of the décor making it a more modern and exciting environment for our learners and customers to showcase the wonderful food that is created and the continuing development of the learners’ customer service skills. Jennifer hit the brief exceptionally well and we are really pleased with the results. We look forwards to welcoming customers old and new to Eden.”
As a working restaurant, Eden offers guests a lunch time menu option from Tuesday – Friday and an evening menu available on selected Thursdays. Every year, Eden also offers their very own Christmas menu designed and produced by college students, following suit of the high-quality dining experience offered all year around.
