Course Summary

The Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Hazard Management for Emergency and Recovery Personnel is designed for those with an interest in gaining the knowledge and skills to work safely and carry out routine maintenance activities on electric/hybrid vehicles. This course offers an introduction to the Electric/Hybrid Vehicle industry and enable you to work safely in roles, such as a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician.

What else do I need to know?

During this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to work safely on electric/hybrid vehicles that may have had damage to their high energy/electrical system during emergency and recovery situations.

You will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Types of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
  • Hazards Associated with Motor Vehicle High Energy Electrical Systems
  • Working Safely on Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Including Charging
  • How To Reduce the Risk of Injury When Encountering Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
  • How To Safely Transport and Store Electric/Hybrid Vehicles

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however an interest in the subject area is desirable.

The Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Hazard Management for Emergency and Recovery Personnel Award Level 2 will take you 1 day to complete. You will attend college for 1 day of training followed by assessments at our Rochford Campus in Boston.

This course will cost you £140, plus an exam fee of £28.

You will be assessed via an online exam.

Successful completion of this course could lead onto other Automotive Technologies courses, including a Level 3 qualification in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Replacement.
