Course Summary

The Level 3 Award in Automotive Refrigerant Handling is designed for experienced Automotive/Vehicle Technicians working on cars and light commercial vehicles to fulfil the requirements of the EU F-Gas Regulations.

What else do I need to know?

During this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the requirements of the EU F-Gas Regulations and undertake the theory and practical assessments.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you should be an experienced Automotive/Vehicle Technician.

The Automotive Refrigerant Handling Award Level 3 will take you 1 day to complete. You will attend college for 1 day of training followed by an assessment at our Rochford Campus in Boston.

This course may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:

  • Be aged 19+ on the 31st August at the start of the current academic year
  • Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than £25,000 (annual gross salary) a year

If you do not qualify for the Adult Educational Budget, this course will cost you £335.50 + an exam fee of £38.35.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

You will be assessed via an online exam and a practical competency based assessment.

Successful completion of this course could lead onto other Automotive Technologies courses.
