Course Summary
This Gas Safety Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative to install, exchange, commission and remove domestic gas meters by knowledge and understanding and practical assessments.
What else do I need to know?
You will be assessed in the following areas:
- Incorrect Meter Locations
- Permission and Requirements for Meters and Regulators when relocated
- Volume of Gas to be passed by a 6 M3/H Meter to affect a satisfactory purge
- Meters supplying mobile dwellings and boats
- ECV/MIV when meter is installed remotely from dwelling
- Requirements for a number of primary meters grouped together and serving a multioccupancy buildings
- Criteria for installation of secondary meters (not required for CESP1, CMA2 or CMA3)
- Safety Notices and Labels for meters and meter installation pipework
- Criteria for providing a gas supply to installation pipework and/or appliances for first time
- Procedure for installing meter when service is not connected to gas i.e.GSIUR Reg 33
- Recognised unsafe meter installations
There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course but applicants must have relevant gas work experience.
This Gas Safety re-assessment course will take you 1 session at our ACS Centre, on our Boston Campus (Rochford).
The cost to undertake this Gas Safety course £125 per applicant.
