#

Today, Friday 3rd May 2024, Boston College celebrated the launch of the brand-new Gas Training Centre. The pioneering facilities provide industry-standard practical training and assessment spaces tailored to the needs of qualified professionals working in the gas, water and heating sector.

Local plumbers, gas engineers, manufacturers and suppliers attended the Breakfast Launch Event for an exclusive insight into the new facilities and training opportunities available. During the event, visitors fuelled up with a delicious complimentary breakfast prior to an opening speech from Boston College Principal and Chief Executive, Claire Foster. Guests received an exclusive preview of the facilities to explore the training spaces and equipment firsthand. The morning provided an excellent chance to find out the all-important information on the range of industry-focused Gas reassessment courses available, whilst also networking with like-minded individuals from the sector.

Reflecting on the event and launch of the facilities Nick Hodgkiss, Boston College’s Senior Learning Lead: Construction, said, β€œAt Boston College, we value the connections, partnerships, and relationships that we establish with local businesses and individuals. We’re committed to supporting continuous growth within the community by staying attuned to the evolving training needs of local businesses – the launch of the Gas Training Centre reflects this commitment. The centre ensures local heating and gas engineers have access to the ongoing training required for success, both now and in the future.”

Located within the long-established Plumbing Department at the Boston Campus on Skirbeck Road, the new Gas Training Centre and ACS Centre offers qualified plumbing and heating engineers the opportunity to renew the gas, water and heating qualifications that are essential to their work.
