Our Level 3 (Advanced) Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised course involving the use of advanced adult care working techniques and training, offering you the opportunity to gain hands on industry experience.
This Apprenticeship is a national recognised qualification that is design to guide and develop your skills within health and social care.
Upon successful completion of this course, the qualification you will achieve is the Care Certificate and NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.
Please note - Learners studying a Health and Social Care course need to meet current Government legal requirements relating to COVID-19 vaccination status when working in the health and social care sector. This means learners must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, this includes being double vaccinated and having received a booster. Learners need to meet this legal requirement to be able to attend placement, without attending placement learners cannot complete their qualifications.
If you think you may be medically exempt from the COVID-19 mandatory vaccination. Learners will need to provide evidence of an NHS Covid pass medical exemption. There is further guidance on how to apply for a medical exemption and prove you are unable to get vaccinated on the government website.
During the apprenticeship you will learn to help individuals with their care and support needs. Lead adult care workers will be able to provide supervisions, frontline leadership skills and direction for others.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship you will gain the following recognised qualifications –
The Apprenticeship consists of several elements, which have been identified by employers as an appropriate set of skills to operate in their chosen job role.
These elements are:
Maths - Level 1 or Level 2 Functional Skills, unless an equivalent qualification has already been achieved.
English - Level 1 or Level 2 Functional Skills, unless an equivalent qualification has already been achieved.
Vocational Element (Knowledge) - most Apprenticeship include off-the-job study for a technical certificate which is usually done at College.
Vocational Element (Competence) - all Apprenticeships include on-the-job training and assessment leading to a competence based vocational qualification.
On some Apprenticeships, the knowledge and competence elements are combined into one qualification.
As an Apprentice, you will pay no course fees. However, your employer may have to pay towards your training as well as providing you with a wage (please see below).

There are different rates of pay for apprentices depending on your age and what year of your apprenticeship you’re in.Aged 16 to 18.
The current National Minimum Wage rate for an apprentice is £4.81. per hour.Aged 19 or over and in your first year.
The current National Minimum Wage rate for an apprentice is £4..81 per hour.Aged 19 or over and have completed your first year.
You’re entitled to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate for your age.

You will be supported through one-to-one delivery. Individual feedback will be given to enable you to achieve relevant milestones throughout the training programme to ensure successful complete of the End Point Assessment (EPA) which comprises:
You will also be supported in your workplace through regular meetings between you and your assessor which will include, but not be limited to, professional discussion, observations, written work feedback and action planning, all relating to the expected outcomes of the Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard.
Successful completion of the advanced level apprenticeship provides the suitable level of occupational competence to meet regulatory and registration requirements for the sector.
There is also an opportunity for Apprentices to go on to further study at higher levels.
