Students with Boston College staff at Student Awards 2026

Boston College proudly welcomed students, families, friends, governors, and staff to the return of its Student Awards, an evening dedicated to recognising the achievements, commitment, and determination of students from across the College.

The awards ceremony brought together the college community to celebrate students who have excelled throughout the academic year. From vocational and technical subjects to creative and academic courses, the event highlighted the hard work, resilience and ambition demonstrated by students across all curriculum areas.

The Student Awards provide an opportunity to recognise not only academic success, but also personal growth, leadership, dedication, and the positive contributions students make to college life. Throughout the evening, guests heard stories of achievement and perseverance, reflecting on the talent and potential that exists across the Boston College.

The event also provided an opportunity to thank the lecturers, tutors and support staff who work alongside students every day, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to achieve their goals. Families and friends were also recognised for the encouragement and support they provide throughout each student's educational journey.

Speaking about the Student Awards 2026, Tom Hughes, Vice Principal: Curriculum Innovation and Impact at Boston College, said:

"It is so important to recognise the success of our students in this way as it really showcases what amazing, talented and dedicated individuals we have in our community. We heard some excellent examples of brilliance from across the college and all the awards were thoroughly deserved. I want to say a huge well done to all the winners and give praise and recognition to our dedicated staff team at the college who support the students from the minute they step foot on the campus through to achieving amazing things."
