Course Summary

Mental Wellbeing is about the positive aspect of mental health, where individuals feel good and function well. This course will provide you with an introduction to mental well-being, looking at what is good mental health and mental ill-health. You will learn how to keep mentally healthy, how to recognise deteriorating mental health and how to support friends and family with mental health issues.

This qualification is aimed at all individuals who want to explore mental well-being and how to support themselves and others in achieving this. It is also aimed at employers who want to support their workforce with positive steps to mental well-being, aiding productivity and reducing absenteeism.

What else do I need to know?

There are no entry requirements for the Mental Wellbeing Award.

Mental Wellbeing will take you 1 week to complete. You will attend college from 9:30am-3:30pm on weekdays (Monday-Friday) at our Horncastle Campus.

Please note that session times can be adjusted to suit the needs of the students studying that course.

This course will also run starting on Monday 16th March 2026.

The Mental Wellbeing Award Level 1 is free.
