Academy of Sports

Elite Education and Elite Sports Participation at its Best!

Boston College’s Academy of Sports allows you to continue playing the sport you love while gaining a qualification.

The Academy of Sports is currently available to Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing and Uniformed Public Services students and aims to provide elite education and achievement, with professional coaching and progression within the Sport and Coaching industry.

The Academy is currently looking for talented male footballers (aged 16-19) and female netballers (aged 16-21) with ambitions of a career in sports.

By becoming a player within the Academy of Sports, you will follow a structured training programme uniquely built into your timetable and take part in the prestigious Association of Colleges Football league, as well as receiving training from a qualified coach. There will also be opportunities for additional county and regional competitions throughout the season.

Alongside the training programme, players also have to study a full time Boston College course – this can be the dedicated Sport and Exercise Sciences course or a vocational qualification, A Levels or Degree course (timetable dependant).

The Academy of Sports’ aim is to grow and expand to all current students at Boston College and include other sporting disciplines including athletics, tennis, boxing, rugby, hockey and table tennis, to name a few.
