The Level 2 Understanding Cancer Support Certificate qualification is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of supporting adults living with cancer. It could be used as a continuous professional development (CPD) qualification for learners already working within the health care and social care sectors or for individuals providing informal care.

You will have 1-1 support from an assessor within the health and social care department. Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.

Please note - Although legislation has changed, some workplaces do still require employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid19. We would encourage you to take part in any vaccination programme recommended if you are working or volunteering in Social Care. Not having a vaccination may impact your ability to complete placement activities as part of your course due to the vulnerability of some clients you may work with.

If you think you may be medically exempt from the COVID-19 mandatory vaccination. Learners will need to provide evidence of an NHS Covid pass medical exemption. There is further guidance on how to apply for a medical exemption and prove you are unable to get vaccinated on the government website.
