The Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care Diploma is aimed at those who lead social care provision in an adult or a children and young people’s setting, either as managers of the provision or as senior practitioners.
Upon succesful completion of this course, the qualification you will achieve is the NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
The Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care Diploma allows you to demonstrate your competence and knowledge within a managerial position.
This qualification replaces the current Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services and the Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care, which are accepted as entry requirements to a number of Healthcare Environment Inspectorate (HEI) programmes.
Incorporated within the Level 5 Diploma there is a research project of your choosing.
There are no formal entry qualifications for the Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care Diploma, although you must be employed within a managerial role within a Health and Social care setting.
You must also be able to study to the required levels and be committed and working within a suitable job role.
The Leadership and Management for Adult Care Diploma will take you 18-24 months to complete and is accomplished in the workplace.

If you are aged 19 years or over on the 1st day of your course, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with your College fees. If you progress to employment you won't have to pay anything back until you’re earning £27,295 per year. Your household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check. You will attend monthly meetings with your assessor and have observations within your work practice to demonstrate consistency within your work.
Your assessor is occupational competent and is qualified in the award or above. They will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.
Completion of this course could lead to a number of Healthcare Environment Inspectorate (HEI) programmes.
