The Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 qualification is your solution to your workplace first aid risk assessment requirement for an Emergency First Aider in the workplace. This qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, and provides you with the knowledge and skills to take on the responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider in the workplace.

What will I do?

During the course, you will cover topics including:

  • Legislation around First Aid
  • What First Aid Is and the Responsibilities of a First Aider
  • Action to Take in an Emergency
  • Primary Survey
  • Secondary Assessment
  • The Respiratory System
  • Resuscitation and AED
  • Disorders of Respiration
  • Disorders of Circulation
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Seizures
  • Minor Burns and Scalds
  • Foreign Objects

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

The Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 will take you 1 day to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for 1 day at our Rochford Campus in Boston, Horncastle Campus, or Spalding Campus.

The Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 course will cost £110 per person.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

Your practical skills will be assessed throughout the duration of the course, leading to a final assessment where you will work independently to apply life-saving procedures across a range of simulated incidents and casualty complexities.

Successful completion of this course will equip you with the skills/knowledge needed to progress in the workplace. You could progress to being awarded the FAA Level 5 First Aid at Work qualification.
