Basic digital skills are essential for life and work and it is more essential than ever to be able to use technology whether that be for job searching, banking, buying something online, researching on the internet or simply communicating with friends and family.
This course will guide you through how to use digital devices and handle information; how to communicate electronically; how to create and edit documents; how to complete transactions and online forms and importantly how to stay staff and be responsible online.
This qualification is aimed at individuals who have limited experience and skills with digital technology and for those who just want to refresh and upskill, so they feel more confident and able to connect in our βdigital worldβ. It is also aimed at employers who want to digitally enable their workforce, for example, to access pay slips or book holidays through digital systems.
This course has multiple start dates throughout the year. For a full list of available start dates, please see the "Attendance" section below.
There are no entry requirements for the Essentials Digital Skills course.
Essential Digital Skills will take you 3 weeks to complete. You will attend college from 9:30am-3:30pm for 1 day per week at our Horncastle Campus.
