Institute of Technology Collaborative Delivery of a Level 4 Digital Technologies HTQ

Lincolnshire Institute of Technology LogoLincolnshire Institute of Technology (LIoT) is a partnership of Further and Higher Education providers in the region, focused on delivering higher education in the sectors of engineering, digital, agritech and construction. The Institute established over four years ago, supported by Department of Education, invested over £15 million in their estate and equipment to improve the facilities and provision available to individual learners and employers.

To maximise use of resources and the skills and knowledge of individual partners, LIoT is launching a joint Level 4 digital qualification in September 2023. The higher technical qualification in digital technologies will be available through DN Colleges Group, Boston College and Grantham College. Other partners including Lincoln College are also engaged in joint delivery enabling other digital qualifications to benefit from sharing specific expertise in delivery available across Lincolnshire.

Subjects may include cyber security, data analytics, software engineering, computer systems architecture, strategic information systems, fundamentals of AI and intelligent systems, network engineering and project management. These subjects will also be available as stand-alone subjects to study, so employers and individuals can also access specific modules that meet job related very specific needs. The delivery model will be blended learning including online learning delivered by LIoT partners and local student support.

Microsoft content will be embedded within the qualification to ensure that individuals in industry or progressing to industry will gain Microsoft essentials and certification built into their learning.

Level 4 and 5 qualifications are flexible and meet the needs of employers in the region. So, whether you are looking to progress from College, retrain or upskill during employment, accessing higher education programmes locally has never been easier. Many learners can apply for financial support or employers can pay for the qualification.

Institutes of Technology have been established by the Department of Education as leaders in the provision of high-quality, higher-level technical education and training across a range of STEM occupations and industries. LIoT has delivered education and training to over 2000 learners since opening and continues to be led by sector and employer demand and developments.
