Celebrating success with SL Engineering

Employees from SL Engineering were recently presented with their ILM Team Leading Certificates by Boston College Principal, Jo Maher. The team undertook their training at the College and explored topics such as the roles and responsibilities of a team leader and using motivational techniques to get the best from people. Assessed through assignments, group work and presentations the awards reflect the effort put in by the company’s leaders.

Kevin Couzens, Operations Manager at SL Engineering recognises the importance of providing high quality training for their employees, saying “Apart from helping us build a stronger team, the training delivered by Boston College has given the group an understanding and buy-in to the decisions we need to take at a management level. It has also helped us identify future stars within our work teams – a group we will continue to invest in, so they are able to grow into the leaders and technical specialists essential to our future”.
Following on from their training, the team returned to work to put their new knowledge and techniques to the test.
