We are delighted to invite you to celebrate your incredible academic achievements at Boston College’s Graduation Ceremony on Thursday 23rd October 2025!


Your ceremony will be taking place at St Botolph’s Church, Church Street, Boston, PE21 6NW

Please note - You must pass at Academic Board to attend your graduation.

Registration and Ticket Booking

Please use the link below to confirm your attendance and reserve up to five additional guest tickets on our registration page.

Please confirm your registration and guests before Friday 26th September.

Please note: Children under the age of three will not require a ticket.

If you or your guests require special arrangements to be put in place for your ceremony, please let us know by completing the comments section during registration or contact us before Friday 26th September.

Tickets will be sent out in the post prior to the ceremony.

Preparing for your Graduation

Academic Dress - Gowns

Your graduation is a ceremonial event and academic dress is required. All graduands must wear a Boston College Hood, Bachelors Gown and Mortarboard with smart clothing underneath. We recommend that you bring hairgrips to secure your mortarboard.

Gowns must be ordered from Churchill Gowns, before Friday 26th September, pre-ordering your gown is essential as this will be delivered directly to you prior to the ceremony. You can find further information on gown hire here.

You will need to hire/purchase a Boston College Hood, Bachelors Gown and Mortarboard. Jeans, t-shirts, trainers and other casual attire are not considered appropriate for those graduating.

You are advised not to bring large bags and to keep personal belongings to a minimum. Any belongings should be left with guests where possible.

What to Expect on the Day

Arrival Information

Please arrive at Boston College's Sam Newsom Centre, 28 South Street, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 6HT between 12:45pm - 1:00pm on the day of your graduation.

The graduation ceremony will start with a procession through the town centre, departing from Boston College's Sam Newsom Centre ending at St Botolph’s Church.

Graduands are advised to be at the Sam Newsom Centre no later than 1:00pm. This will allow sufficient time to ensure you are properly gowned and prepared for the procession. Please be aware there will be a lot of people doing the same, so do not leave it to the last minute to avoid queues forming.

If you are unable to process, please ensure you are at St Botolph’s Church no later than 1:45pm. Unfortunately, late attendees may be refused entry.

+ St Botolph's grounds open for guests - 12:45pm
+ Graduates to arrive at Boston College's Sam Newsom Centre – 12:45pm - 1:00pm
+ St Botolph's open for guests to take their seats - 1:30pm
+ Graduation Procession to start from Boston College's Sam Newsom Centre - 2:00pm
+ Graduation Ceremony – 2:30pm - 4:00pm
+ Photos and Celebrations - 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Parking

FREE parking is available from 9:00am until 10:00pm at our Rochford Campus, Skirbeck Road, Boston, Lincs, PE21 6JF (Sat Nav: PE21 6DA). Please note, due to the College being open to students, there will be limited parking available at the College.

Refreshments

Drink refreshments will be provided by Sipwell Events and will be available to guests prior to the ceremony with a bar located outside St Botolph's.

This will also be accessible to graduates following the ceremony, providing you with one free celebratory mocktail as well as the option to purchase additional drinks.

Celebrating your graduation with family and friends

You did it – you’re officially a graduate, and it’s time to celebrate!

After your ceremony, enjoy a complimentary drink with your voucher (found in your graduation pack), snap plenty of selfies with your friends and family, and don’t forget to tag us @bostoncollegeuk. Be sure to take a moment to celebrate with your lecturers too - they’ll be just as proud as you are!
