The Level 3 Award in Water Regulations and Unvented Hot Water Systems is designed for those working in the Plumbing and Heating industry to acquire formal training in installation and maintenance of unvented hot water systems.

What will I do?

During this course, you will study installation and service procedures and their associated regulations. You will develop the knowledge and skills to demonstrate your competency to work on these systems in compliance with part G3 of the Building Regulations for England and Wales.

To study this course, you will need to have successfully completed one of the below:

  • An existing Water Regulations/Unvented Hot Water qualification
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification
  • An relevant Industry Registration Scheme, e.g. Gas Safe Register (ACS, OFTEC 105E, or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2 years industry experience of installation of domestic heating and hot water systems, or design and advice services of domestic heating and hot water systems

The Water Regulations and Unvented Hot Water Systems Award Level 3 will take you 1 day to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-5:00pm at our Rochford Campus in Boston.

This course may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:

  • Be aged 19+ on the 31st August at the start of the current academic year
  • Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than Β£25,000 (annual gross salary) a year

If you do not qualify for the Adult Educational Budget, this course will cost you Β£210.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

You will be assessed via a multiple choice examination and a fault-finding exercise.

Successful completion of this course will provide sufficient knowledge of Water Regulations to ensure that all installation work is carried out in accordance with the current regulations in the UK. You will be awarded a 5-year Accreditation Certificate of Competence.
