This Gas Safety Re-Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative to install, exchange, commission, disconnect, service, repair and breakdown of domestic gas cooking appliances by knowledge & understanding and practical assessments.

What will I do?

This Gas Safety re-assessment course includes refresher training & assessment of the following:

  • Identification of unsafe conditions diagnosing gas safety faults
  • Diagnosis of gas safety faults
  • Suitable and unsuitable appliance room/space locations
  • Clearances โ€“ proximity of combustible materials
  • Fitting cooking appliances in dwellings in multi-occupancy buildings
  • Flexible & Pliable connections used for built-in appliances
  • Limited abilities & additional requirements for domestic cooking Installers in educational establishments (reference to IGEM/UP/11)

You must hold a current CCN1 / CCLP1 or equivalent changeover combination, or aligned QCF or S/NVQ, or Group Competency Certificate to undertake this course.

This Gas Safety re-assessment course will take you 4 hours to complete during 1 session at our ACS Centre, on our Boston Campus (Rochford)

The cost to undertake the CKR1 Gas Safety course ยฃ124 per applicant.

You will complete a series of written and practical assessments.

You may consider looking to add other appliances such as (HTR1) Fires and Heaters, and (DAH1) Warm Air Heaters to expand your scope of work.
