The Level 2 Electrical Installations Technology (Building and Structures) has been developed by an industry approved awarding body. It comprises both theory and practical sessions that when completed, and achieved, gives you Level 2 qualification.
You will gain the skills and knowledge to progress further within the industry and follows approved, structured and recognised assessment processes.
The Level 2 Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) Diploma provides you with the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge of the electrical installation industry and is delivered approximately as a 50/50 split between theory and practical sessions.
Units include Health & Safety, Electrical Principles, and Installation Technology. During the year, we aim to offer external visits, trips, and support from internal and external speakers to complement the learner experience.

The entry qualifications for the Level 2 Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) Diploma are two GCSEs grade 4 or above (Old GCSE grade C or above) in Maths and English, plus a further two GCSE grades 3 or above (Old GCSE grading D or above) one preferably in science.
Satisfactory school reference and good attendance report.
This course is free if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.

Main body of the qualification will be assessed by computer and paper based unitised exams throughout the year alongside internal practical assessments.
Personal and Social Development will be assessed by internally set assignments.
