Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities Award Level 2
Add to ShortlistThe Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities is designed for those with an interest in gaining the knowledge and skills to work safely and carry out routine maintenance activities on electric/hybrid vehicles. This course offers an introduction to the Electric/Hybrid Vehicle industry and enable you to work safely in roles, such as a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician.
What will I do?
During this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to work safely on electric/hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out routine maintenance and repair activities (excluding high voltage components or systems). This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to their high energy/electrical system.
You will cover a range of topics, including:
- Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Components and Operation
- Hazards Surrounding Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
- How To Reduce the Risks to Yourself and Others When Working on Electric/Hybrid Vehicles
- Safely Preparing the Vehicle When Carrying Out Routine Maintenance (excluding high voltage components or systems)
- Working Safely on an Electric/Hybrid Vehicle (excluding high voltage components or systems)
Entry Qualifications
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however an interest in the subject area is desirable.
Attendance
The Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities Award Level 2 will take you 1 day to complete. You will attend college for 1 day of training followed by assessments at our Rochford Campus in Boston.
Fees
This course may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:
- Be aged 19+ on the 31st August at the start of the current academic year
- Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than Β£25,000 (annual gross salary) a year
If you do not qualify for the Adult Educational Budget, this course will cost you Β£289 + an exam fee of Β£38.35.

How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed via practical assessments and an online exam.
Where Could It Lead?
Successful completion of this course could lead onto other Automotive Technologies courses, including a Level 3 qualification in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Replacement.
