The high expectation of quality of work my tutors had instilled in me during my Foundation Degree definitely helped me during the final year of my degree at Bishop Grosseteste University as the standard was set in my work, so I was achieving high percentage marks in my assignments. I have taken the tutor guidance and invaluable experience I received from my time at Boston College forward into my teaching, and I was still drawing upon it during my Level 7 Post Graduate Certificate in Dyslexia.
It was always my goal to specialise in Dyslexia support and my tutor at Boston, Gill, helped with everything from advising me on the correct progression pathway to encouraging and pushing me to achieve the best I could. Gill made me believe that I could do it, and she was right, as I am now assisting the SENCO.
