Save the Date for a Vibrant Celebration of Food and Community at Boston Food Festival!

Boston Food Festival Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd August 2024 9:00am - 3:00pmBoston College is excited to announce its upcoming Boston Food Festival, a spectacular event celebrating our rich local and multicultural food heritage. Taking place at the iconic Boston Stump on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd August from 9:00am to 3:00pm, this festival promises a weekend filled with delicious food, engaging activities, and community spirit.

Event Highlights
Artisan Food and Drink Producers
Discover a diverse range of stalls featuring locally crafted foods and beverages. Support our talented local artisans and indulge in the finest flavours Boston and Greater Lincolnshire has to offer.

Street Food Vendors
Savour an array of cuisines from street food vendors located in the Ingram Memorial area outside Boston Stump. From spicy to sweet, there’s something to delight every taste bud.

Foodie Demonstrations and Entertainment
Our demo and entertainment area will showcase live demonstrations by local experts, captivating performances by musicians, and more. The Catering & Hospitality team from Boston College will also be doing foodie demonstrations at their stand throughout both days.

Kids Zone
Our Kids Zone is packed with fun activities for children of all ages, including:
• Face painting
• Glitter art and balloon art
• Fruit creative art
• Story time sessions
• Colouring competition with prize draw for under 5’s and over 5’s
• Treasure trail visiting sites around town with prize draw for under 5’s and over 5’s

Special Guest Appearance
Look out for our larger-than-life character who will be making appearances throughout the weekend. Get ready to join the crowd in a chorus of “B-Banana? Banana! Banana! Banana!” and capture unforgettable photo moments. Kindly co-funded by Boston Borough Council.

Additional Activities
• Friday 2nd August: Farmers Market in the marketplace.
• Saturday 3rd August: Usual Saturday market, Rock School Bus in the marketplace, and Mrs K’s Historical Pub Walking Tour.
• Transported Art Installation/Live Performance: Experience stunning live art installations and performances.

About the Festival
The Boston Food Festival has been made possible by funding from The Centre for Food & Fresh Produce Logistics, a Boston Town Deal funded programme in collaboration with the University of Lincoln. To date, the programme has worked with over 70 Boston businesses to provide £180,000 capital grants, bespoke technical support from University of Lincoln, and training to over 300 individuals delivered by Boston College. This has enabled local people to obtain qualifications and certificates, and collaborations with the DWP to support individuals entering the job market. Boston College also host regular business networking and career events to foster local business integration and career development for all ages in our community.
