One of the Top 5 Colleges in the Country
Boston College is celebrating after being ranked joint 5th of over 180 Further Education colleges across the whole country.
The result comes from the NICDEX 2019 national league table, which is compiled annually using official performance measures from the Department for Education (DFE). Points are awarded against four quality of provision measures; Learner Satisfaction, Employer Satisfaction, 16-18 year olds Positive Progression, Adults into Employment Progression.
Overall the College scored an impressive 31 out of a possible 40 points, with exceptionally high scores in Employer Satisfaction (10/10) and Learner Satisfaction (9/10). This evidences the commitment and skill of the College’s staff team in ensuring a high quality learner experience which links closely to industry and employer requirements.
Speaking of the results, Vicki Locke, Vice Principal – Curriculum and Quality said, “This is a fantastic achievement for the College. Results like this only come from a team effort and being closely focused on what matters most to learners. We have a clear and simple vision which is ‘to be a brilliant college and for every learner to be brilliant’. Ensuring our learners have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to successfully progress into higher education or to employment is pivotal to our vision. We are very proud to receive this recognition in this year’s national league tables.”
