Apprentices Benefit from Industry Learning Resources

Boston College Plumbing Apprentices become the first in the country to benefit from learning resources supplied by leading industry experts, Salamander Pumps.

Salamander Pumps is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of shower and domestic water pumps. In October 2019, the College was visited by company rep, Ken, who presented the brand new Acc Boost pump. Following this, the College were then provided with learning resources to enhance the apprentices ‘off-the-job’ training and development.

After receiving the resources, Plumbing Lecturer, Sergio Afonso said, “I am delighted that Salamander Pumps have kindly donated learning resources for our apprentices. These resources will help our leaners to efficiently acquire additional knowledge of new technologies and developments within the plumbing industry.”

The resources have now been uploaded to the College’s learning platform, Moodle, for future plumbing learners and apprentices to use.
