This Level 2 course will give you the knowledge and skills required to work safely on Electric/ Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out routine maintenance and repair activities (not voltage components or systems). This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to high energy/ electrical system.
You will study:
Electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
Hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
How to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
Safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)
Skills covered:
Working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle (NOT high voltage components or systems)
As a result, by successfully completing this qualification you will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to work safely around and maintain Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
Electric Vehicle Repair and Replacement Level 3
Attendance: 2 day course
Price: £400 (if booked with Level 2 course - £600)
Want to have the knowledge and skills to test & repair Electric/ Hybrid vehicles?
This course will build on the Level 2 course and give you the knowledge and skills to work safely on Electric/Hybrid vehicles whilst carrying out testing and repair activities. This may include vehicles that may have or had damage to high energy/electrical system.
Please note, this is not a full diagnostic course.
You will study the skills and knowledge from the Level 2 course plus:
Working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle
Using information to carry out the task
Carrying out repairs on high energy electrical systems
Recording information and making suitable recommendations
As a result, by successfully completing this qualification you will acquire significant core knowledge and skills and the ability to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle high voltage components.
MOT Training
Develop Automotive are an IMI approved training and assessment centre specialising in training vehicle technicians and mechanics to become full qualified MOT Testers.
