Looking After International Students
Boston College has over 30 years of experience in taking care of students whilst studying and living away from home.
The College has a wide range of experienced staff who are always available to help your son or daughter settle into College life and help with day to day matters including:
- Personal Tutors
- Teachers and Teaching Managers
- International Office Staff
- Learner Services Manager
- Learner Support Officers
- Security Officers
- Weekend Warden
- Halls of Residence Cleaners and Maintenance Staff
The first time living away from home can be difficult for many teenagers, and some do become homesick and need someone to talk to. We can help with this and with any other problems that might arise. The College can offer practical advice about living independently, social activities, hobbies, travel arrangements, options and progression opportunities.
The International Team also meet regularly with students to discuss their well-being.
Boston College will ensure that you are kept up to date with your son or daughter's progress and send you formal reports in December and April. If at any time you would like an interim report or any feedback, please contact us on email@example.com or +44(0) 1205 313212.
If your son or daughter is under the age of 18, Boston College will need your agreement to the following:
- Living in the Halls of Residence or Homestay
- Going out on college trips and taking part in College activities
- Emergency medical treatment
- Taking bio-metric information
- Marketing photographs
- Additional support
The Parental Agreement will allow you to tell us which of these you agree to. The College will also use the same form to collect contact information in case we need to get hold of you in an emergency.
