Performance Massage Diploma Level 3 is a benchmark, industry-standard qualification for those looking at getting a qualification within the industry.
Upon successful completion of the qualification you will be fully accredited to conduct sports massage therapy sessions with individuals who have dysfunctional tissue, without acute/post-acute injuries or underlying pathological conditions. This could be as an individual practitioner or as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a sports therapy clinic.
While there are no prerequisites for the qualification, prior knowledge of sport and exercise will support your application due to the levels of anatomy and physiology required within the qualification.
The qualification covers five key areas:
Each of the areas will help you to develop the skills necessary to work confidently and professionally with clients, while also preparing you to run your own business or be employed within the sector.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification however you must be aged 19 years of age or over.
It is also beneficial for you to have prior knowledge of sport and exercise will support your application due to the levels of anatomy and physiology required within the qualification.
The Performance Massage Diploma Level 3 will take 8 weeks to complete. You will attend college 1 evening per week, 5:00pm - 8:00pm, at our Peter Paine Performance Centre in Boston.
Communication of distance elements will take place via email with additional virtual support where needed.
The Performance Massage Diploma Level 3 will cost ยฃ1417 and can be funded with an Advanced Learner Loan.
The Performance Massage Diploma Level 3 will be assessed through workbooks, a theory examination, worksheets and three observed treatment sessions.
