The world of work is everchanging and constantly evolving. While new jobs are always created, some of the skills required to be successful remain constant and it is important to consider your own physical and mental wellbeing when moving into or between employment.

This one-day Level 1 Improve your Wellbeing in Preparation for Work course aims to improve your own physical and mental wellbeing in preparation for work. The course will cover and develop your confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills – skills important to any role – whilst considering areas for personal development that may support employability.

What will I do?

The Level 1 Improve your Wellbeing in Preparation for Work course will cover basic preparation for work activities, including:

  • Communication skills, the types of communication, and activities to develop these skills
  • Confidence building workshop
  • An introduction to teambuilding, teamwork, and leadership

There are no formal entry qualifications for the Level 1 Improve your Wellbeing in Preparation for Work.

This is a one-day course with multiple start dates offered throughout the academic year.

This course is free for those aged 19+ at the start of the current academic year.

There is no formal assessment within this course, however, detailed feedback will be given following the exercises and activities completed.

Succesful completion of the course can lead onto employment, work experience or further courses within Sport or Employment and Skills Training.
