The Level 2 Subsidiary Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology is delivered in theory and practical workshops.
It covers health & safety, good housekeeping, job roles within the automotive industry, materials & fabrication and key vehicle systems to include;
If you have a Grade 2 or below in English or maths, you can study towards either a PASS in Functional Skills Level 2 or a GCSE grade 4-9. Once you have achieved either qualification, you will not be required to undertake any further English or maths.
Full time 16-19 learner with a Grade 3, must study towards a GCSE grade 4-9.
The Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology Subsidiary Diploma will take you one year to complete. You will attend College for three-four days a week, 9:00am – 4:30pm.
You will be expected to have a minimum attendance rate of 90%.
The Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technology Subsidiary Diploma is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1200.
