Year 1.

Year 2.

  • Meeting the Needs of Individuals with Long-term Health Conditions

You will also be required to complete 450 hours of work placement activities across the 2 years in a health and/or social care role providing direct care and support to service users. During this placement, you will require a supervisor in the setting who will direct and oversee your development, providing evidence for your portfolio. Therefore, it is advised that you are either employed or volunteering in this areas upon application.

In order to study the Healthcare Assistant HTQ you will need to have at least one of the below:

  • A BTEC Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or related subject)
  • A T-level in Health
  • A-levels which demonstrate strong performance and subject related knowledge. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grade profile of grade 4 or above in key subjects such as Maths and English
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma
  • Related work experience

It is strongly recommended that you are employed or volunteering in a work placement to meet the requirement of 450 hours across the 2 years of the qualification. This must be in a health and/or social care role providing direct care to service users. You will need a supervisor in your setting who can oversee your continued development and provide evidence for your portfolio.

The Healthcare Assistant HTQ will take you 2 years to complete. Starting in September 2024, you will attend out Boston Campus (Rochford) studying two-days per week. Delivery will blend face to face and online/self-directed delivery.

The Healthcare Assistant HTQ will cost: Β£7100.
