The Level 3 Adult Care Diploma is aimed at those who are working with adults across all social care settings.

Upon succesful completion of this course, the qualification you will achieve is the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.

What will I do?

The qualification allows you to develop detailed knowledge, skills and understanding within a relevant field and is aimed at staff that are in a position of responsibility. It demonstrates team leading and specialist technical skills with competence in communication, problem solving and applied teamwork.

There are no formal entry qualifications for the Adult Care Diploma, although you must be employed within a health and Social care setting such as: residential homes, home support area, day services, and hospital settings.

The Adult Care Diploma Level 3 will take you 12-18 months to complete, with flexible start dates meaning you can start at any point throughout the year.. As this course is completed In the workplace you will need to ensure you are employed in a relevant setting.

Aged 19+?
If you are aged 19 years or over on the 1st day of your course, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with your College fees. If you progress to employment you won't have to pay anything back until you’re earning £25,000 per year. Your household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check. You may be eligible to study this course for FREE should you be eligible under the following criteria:
  • Be aged 19 or older on the 31st August at the start of the current academic year
  • Do not hold a current Level 3 qualification
  • OR
  • Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than £20,319 (annual gross salary) a year

You will attend monthly meetings with your assessor and have observations within your work practice to demonstrate consistency within your work.

Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the qualification period.

Successful completion of the Level 3 Adult Care Diploma can lead onto the Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Health and Social Care, Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Health and Social Care or a university Degree in nursing, social work, criminology and social policy.
