GCSE Maths is one of the most important qualifications for life in the modern world.

Many jobs and courses are only open to those with a grade C (New GCSE grade 4). Most universities expect a grade C (New GCSE grade 4) for almost all subjects, whilst Mathematical, Scientific and Engineering subjects need higher grades.

What will I do?

GCSE Maths generally begins with number work so that you can refresh your skills for use in the other topics. Other areas follow, geometry, statistics and algebra.

Most of the work is taught interactively by the experienced teachers. You need to work at questions to cement your knowledge and gain confidence. Later in the course time is given to practice on past exam papers.

GCSE Maths is a key qualification and is suitable for those learners who hold a grade 3 in their GCSE (Old GCSE Grade D) or ESOL learners who have achieved ESOL Level 2 in reading and speaking and listening.

To study this course you will need to be able to cope with the regular commitment of a once a week class and capable of some independent study.

If you're an Adult learner you will need to undertake a test to check your ability.

GCSE Maths will take you one academic year to complete, attending 1 session per week on Tuesdays starting in September 2025, 6.00pm - 8.30pm. You will attend our Spalding Campus.

GCSE Maths is free for those who do not currently hold a GCSE at grade A* - C (New GCSE grade 4 - 9).

If you do not fall into any of these categories please contact us on 01205 313218 or email info@boston.ac.uk for more details.

  • Prob and Stat

Exam locations will be at our Spalding campus. The exam times will be during the day in line with government exam times.
