Introduction to IELTS
Add to ShortlistThis short course is for adult learners who have English as a second language and wish to develop their reading, writing and speaking skills.
You will be introduced to the basic elements of the IELTS examination and practice a range of exam strategies. On completion learners may feel confident enough to undertake their IELTS exam at a local test centre, or you may wish to continue with the next level course.
All learners will have a short English Language assessment prior to enrolment.

Entry Qualifications
There are no formal entry qualifications for the Introduction to IELTS course.
Attendance
The Introduction to IELTS course will take you 15 weeks to complete, the course will run at our Boston Campus, starting in September 2022.
Fees
The Introduction to IELTS course may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:
- Be aged 19 or older on the 31st August
- Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than £17,374.50 (annual gross salary) a year
If you do not qualify for funding under the AEB budget this course will cost you £150.
Please note that all fees are subject to change.
Where Could It Lead?
On completion learners may feel confident enough to undertake their IELTS exam at a local test centre, or you may wish to continue with the next level course.
