This City and Guilds Level 3 (18th edition) Requirements for Electrical Installations (2382) qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations

What will I do?

Areas covered within the 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-18) include a review of the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS7671:2018, Electrical definitions, protection requirements for electrical safety, selecting and erection of equipment, electrical inspection and testing, using BS7671:2018 appendices, energy efficiency, protection against fire - installation of arc fault detection devices, protection against transient over voltage.

There are no formal entry qualifications for the 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-18).

However, the qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. Individuals without this experience should seek to undertake appropriate qualifications and experience before undertaking this qualification.

The 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-18) course will take you four sessions over four days to complete, starting Tuesday 30th April 2024 at our Spalding Campus you will attend 9:30am - 4:00pm. Your final examination will take place at our Boston Campus(Rochford) on Friday 3rd May 2024, at 10:00am.

This course will cost £530 per person.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

You will be assessed via a two hour online exam. The exam will take place either one evening after the course or on the afternoon of the 4th day (subject to availability of exam equipment).

Progression routes from this course include studying at HE Level, or progressing directly into employment
