The Level 1 Learning and Development through Play will consider the impact of play and activities within a positive environment with regards to learning and development.

You will have support from an assessor within the Early Years department. Your assessor is occupational competent and will support and work with you throughout the course.

In total you will complete one unit of written work.

Entry Qualifications

There are no formal entry qualifications for the Level 1 Understanding Learning and Development through Play unit.

The Level 1 Understanding Learning and Development through Play course will be studied at Boston College Rochford Campus with your initial session being between 09:30am and 12:30pm on the below dates. The course will take you a total of one session to complete.

Rochford Campus

  • Monday 10th October 2022
  • Friday 6th January 2023

The Level 1 Interpersonal Skills Award may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:

  • Be aged 19 or older on the 31st August
  • Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than Β£17,374.50 (annual gross salary) a year

If you do not qualify for funding under the AEB budget this course will cost you Β£84.

Successful completion of this unit could lead to you undertaking further qualifications within Early Years to support your progression into a career in Early Years.

There are no additional cost related to this course.
