The CACHE Level 1 Caring for Children Diploma is designed to stimulate and encourage you to understand and develop the skills and knowledge needed to care for young children. The course is aimed at a range of learners, including young people needing to develop life skills as well as those who are thinking of a career in childcare.
The course covers age ranges from birth to five years 11 months and during the course you will get an overview of early years education and child development alongside developing key life skills, preparing you further learning in the sector.

During the CACHE Level 1 Caring for Children Diploma you will gain an overview of early years and study an introduction to child development and how children learn and develop.
You will explore a range of activities that you can carry out with children to help them to progress including physical activities and arts and crafts. Alongside this you will gain knowledge of health and safety and how to safeguard children from the ages of 0- five years 11 months.
The course will have practical, hands on learning activities alongside developing writing skills.
The Caring for Children Under Five Introductory Diploma is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.
