Leadership and Management ILM Certificate Level 3
The Level 3 Leadership and Management ILM Certificate is ideal for new and aspiring junior managers. You will pick up the core skills and understanding needed to deal with management responsibilities and develop as a leader, helping to start your career with confidence.
This a nationally recognised qualification which will showcase your abilities and experience. Employers will be able to see more confident and effective managers with better communication skills and increase in productivity and more motivated teams.
What will I do?
During the Level 3 Leadership and Management ILM Certificate you will study each of the following topics:
- Understanding leadership
- Leading and motivating a team effectively
- Planning and allocating work
- Developing yourself and others
- Conflict Management
- Understanding the induction of new staff
- Quality management
- Health and safe working practices
- Solving problems and making decisions
You will be given the opportunity to register for the ILM certificate or a Boston College Certificate of Achievement - this will depend upon initial screening and consultation with a tutor.
Entry Qualifications
The entry qualifications for the Level 3 Leadership and Management ILM Certificate are a good level and understanding of written and spoken English, preferably a Level 2 qualification e.g. English GCSE. As well as preferably working in a team leading or management role or have some workplace responsibility. This may be in a paid or voluntary capacity.
If you are concerned about the above entry requirements an alternative course available is the Leadership and Team Skills ILM Certificate Level 2.
Attendance
The Leadership and Management ILM Certificate will take you nine weeks to complete based on delivery of one day per week. Starting Tuesday 9th January 2024.

Fees
The Level 3 Leadership and Management ILM Certificate will cost £830 per person.
How Will I Be Assessed
The Principles of Leadership and Management ILM Certificate is theory based and is assessed through independently written assignments. There may be an element of group work and group presentations which will be used in the assessment process.
Where Could It Lead?
The Principles of Leadership and Management ILM Certificate could lead you to further job opportunities and qualifications within a related subject such as Leadership and Management Certificate Level 4 and the HNC/D Business offered at Boston College.
