The Level 1 Diploma in Business introduces you to Business at a basic level. Introducing the key principles involved in each area.
Delivered by staff that boast a wide range of knowledge and experience, the course includes a strong emphasis on employability skills relevant to the business sector.
During the Level 1 Diploma in Business and Travel Skills, you will develop a range of employability skills and techniques, understanding personal qualities and attitudes essential for success in working life.

The course is delivered using a balance between practical and theory. We include e-learning, one-to-one support, individual learning plans, external visits, events and speakers. You will also undertake a period of work experience which will be extremely useful in preparing you for your next steps in either employment or education. You will also take part in team projects.
If you have a Grade 2 or below in English or maths, you can study towards either a PASS in Functional Skills Level 2 or a GCSE grade 4-9. Once you have achieved either qualification, you will not be required to undertake any further English or maths.
Full time 16-19 learner with a Grade 3, must study towards a GCSE grade 4-9.
Entry requirements are two GCSEs at grade 2 or above (Old GCSE grade E or above) or equivalent (to include English or maths), or any one of the following, an Entry 3 qualification, a Certificate in Skills for Working Life or Life Skills, an ESOL Entry L3 qualification.
The Diploma in Business Skills is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.
