Swedish Massage Certificate Level 3
Add to ShortlistThe Level 3 Swedish Massage Certificate is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist.
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.
What will I do?
This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist including, units covering the following: providing body massage, health and safety, anatomy and physiology and client care.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. As well as a range of technical skills enabling you to provide relaxing massage treatments using classical Swedish massage movements. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.
Entry Qualifications
Previous Beauty therapy or massage therapy knowledge would be an advantage for this qualification. At interview the suitability and expectations of the course will be discussed to ensure that you are considering the correct course to meet your needs.
Attendance
The Swedish Massage Certificate will take you 20 weeks to complete, this includes college attendance for one evening per week, starting in September 2024.
Independent learning is also required. You will need a minimum of 90% attendance to complete this course.
Fees
The Level 3 Swedish Massage Certificate will cost £942.

How Will I Be Assessed
Assessment methods include practical observations, assignments and end of unit external assessment.
Where Could It Lead?
This qualification will prepare you for employment as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist.
Career opportunities as a beauty (Swedish massage) therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including: working in beauty salons, destination and days spas, working independently, self employed homebased or mobile.
Additional costs
You are required to wear a beauty uniform at college with the approx. cost of £45
