Make Up Treatments Award Level 2
Add to ShortlistThis qualification is about providing make up services for a variety of occasions, including day, evening and special occasions. You will need to show you can work with a variety of skin types and conditions. The qualification covers the application of a wide range of makeup products to different skin tones and age groups.
To carry out this qualification you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client.
What will I do?
The main outcomes of the qualification are:
- Maintain safe and effective methods of working when providing make-up services
- Consult, plan and prepare for make-up services
- Apply make-up products
- Provide aftercare advice

There are no formal entry qualifications for this course
Attendance
This course will take you a total of 10 weeks to complete. You will study at our Boston Campus (Rochford) for 3 hours a week
Fees
Level 2 Award in Make-Up treatments may be fully funded by the Adult Education Budget should you be eligible under the following criteria:
- Be aged 19 or older on the 31st August at the start of the current academic year
- Be either unemployed and receiving JSA, ESA or Universal Credit (subject to criteria) OR be earning less than Β£20,319 (annual gross salary) a year
If you do not qualify for funding under the AEB budget this course will cost Β£249.50 (Β£195 tuition fee and Β£54.50 exam fee).
How Will I Be Assessed
Observed work, 2 exams and portfolio/assignment work
Where Could It Lead?
Completion of this course will equip the learner with the skill needed to apply their learning to their career. There are also opportunities to progress onto further education at the College.
