This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as an assistant junior beauty therapist including: preparing and maintaining the salon treatment work areas, effective working with clients and colleagues, taking responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety.

You will also develop your understanding and skills by selecting a number of optional specialist units which include: assisting with facial skincare services, assisting with day make-up services, assisting with nail services, assisting with salon reception duties. The structure of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career as an assistant junior beauty therapist.

Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of the anatomy of the skin, health and safety, client care and beauty product knowledge. You will develop a range of technical assisting skills in beauty therapy services. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients, when assisting with salon reception duties.
