The Level 4 Accounting Professional Diploma is ideal for those who are at a more advanced stage in their career and want a qualification to give them the confidence and proof that they have the skills to do the job.
It is an ideal progression route for employees who already have an advanced level of finance knowledge and who are looking to develop their skills in accounting. This is also an advantageous qualification for employers looking to up skill their staff.
The entry qualifications for the Level 4 Accounting Professional Diploma are five GCSEs at grades C or above (New GCSE grade 4 and above) including English and Maths. It is also desirable that you have a Merit at AAT Level 3, as well as evidence of current or very recent work-based industry-relevant practice.
However, all applications will be considered on an individual basis and will be subject to the entry requirements alongside a successful interview with the course tutor.
The Accounting Professional Diploma will take you two years to complete. You will attend College on Thursday afternoons, 1:00pm – 4:30pm
You will also be expected to study independently outside of the classroom.
The Accounting Professional Diploma is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.

You will also need to register with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) - which is currently £135

If you are aged 19 years or over on the 1st day of your course, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with your College fees. If you progress to employment you won't have to pay anything back until you’re earning £25,000 per year. Your household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check.
