This Access to Health and Social Care Professions programme is designed for adults interested in undertaking nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, physiotherapy, occupational health, radiography and other health and social care related training.
Successful completion of the course could also lead to progression onto the College's University Level courses. You could study the HNC/HND in Health and Social Care on your doorstep.
This Access to Health and Social Care Professions programme is gained by achieving the following credits:
The Access to Health and Social Care Professions programme will take one year (34 weeks) to complete.
You will attend College three days a week and hours are designed to fit around childcare/school hours, with your day starting at 9:15am-9:30am and finishing 2:30pm–2:45pm.

The Access to Health and Social Care Professions programme will cost £3384.
If you have already gained a Level 3 qualification you may still be able to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan.
If you are aged 19 years or over on the 1st day of your course, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with your College fees. If you progress to employment you won't have to pay anything back until you’re earning £27,295 per year. Your household income isn't taken into account and there's no credit check. For the full diploma to be awarded you will need to compile a portfolio of assignments, which are externally moderated by Aim.
You will learn by a variety of processes including theory and practice, portfolio assignments, individual and group work.
